I purchased a package of Kitchen Towels by Martha Stewart everyday "I scream, you scream for ice scream" (7towels to a pack),
Fabric 1.5yds of 45in Muslin the better grade of Muslin $2.99yd, Embroidery 40wt thread to match the towels.

I used Marathon thread colors:
